An
Overview of a Formworks Home ... page 9
More Than Self-Sufficient
Since the first year
Formworks homes were offered, a large segment of builders have bought
and constructed Formworks structures because of the enormous benefits
in self-sufficiency. A combination of the structures' qualities are
sited as being the final word in a self-sufficient home, such as:
- The
Formworks thermal-mass capabilities. This
means if the power fails the structure will remain cool in the
summer and warm in the winter, and off-grid (independent) powering
is greatly simplified.
- The Formworks structural strength. When
a natural or man-made disaster destroys a neighborhood, the Formworks
home may be the only structure able to withstand the damage whether
it be fires, tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, or even a large
explosion.
- The Formworks controlled air-flow. Unlike
other structures, Formworks homes do not leak air from numerous, random
openings but instead use a controlled air-flow path, allowing the
occupants to filter air or temporarily seal off air flow in the case
of airborne toxins such as chemical spills.
- The Formworks maintenance-free shell. Even
far from stores and contractors, a Formworks home-owner has little
concern. There is no roof to blow-off, no wood to decay, and nothing
to attract insects.
